Personalized Function-Focused Treatment
Julia Mongeau, Physical Therapist Assistant
Julia Mongeau is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with 7 years of experience in orthopedic and acute care physical therapy. She is passionate about providing personalized, function-focused treatment that empowers patients to return to the activities they love.
A Lancaster County native and Hempfield High School graduate, Julia was a dedicated student-athlete, competing in both swimming and track throughout high school and college. Her background in athletics helped spark her interest in movement science and rehabilitation, shaping her career in physical therapy.
Julia spent several years at Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster, where she built a strong foundation in outpatient orthopedic care, working closely with post-surgical patients, athletes, and individuals recovering from injuries. She also brings valuable inpatient experience from her time at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, where she primarily treated patients on the orthopedic and trauma units. Her combined background gives her a well-rounded perspective on musculoskeletal recovery across the continuum of care.
Outside of her clinical work, Julia is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and physical activity. She has coached over 14 seasons of Girls on the Run and currently serves on the organization’s Board of Directors, helping to promote confidence, connection, and strength in young girls throughout the community.
Outside of the clinic and volunteering, Julia enjoys traveling with her significant other, Matt, especially to national parks. She also enjoys posting to her travel blog and social media account where she shares travel photos and trip-planning itineraries.
